
Amir – French
Amir is a native French speaker with over years of experience in teaching French. He studied English at the Paris Nanterre University and holds BAFA and BAFD certification.

Anna – Public Speaking / Debate
Anna graduated with High Distinction at UC Berkeley, earning her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. Since 2013, she has won awards at over 20 debate tournaments.

Bella – AP Chinese / Calligraphy
Ms. Zhou has nearly 20 years of teaching experience. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Chinese Language and Literature from Beijing Normal University, and a master’s degree in Calligraphy from Capital Normal University.

Carey – Computer Science
Carey holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from UBC, with a major in Artificial Intelligence. Carey has been working as JAVA software engineer and technical system analyst, International project consultant for Robotic Process Automation.

Carol – Public Speaking
Carol represented all of British Columbia in the Toastmasters International World Championships of Public Speaking, making her one of the top 18 speakers in the Toastmasters world that year. She also was the Executive Director of Toastmasters District 21 in the year 2017-2018.

Cheryl – English Literature / Psychology / Humanities
Cheryl Aman holds a bachelor’s degree of double major in English Literature and Creative Writing, and a master’s degree in Psychological Foundations in Education. As a researcher and educator for over 30 years, her career experience has focused on assisting learners across many ages and diverse backgrounds hone their skills and find success.

Clarisse – English / Social Studies
Clarisse has experience teaching learning support, Alternative Education, Social Studies, English, Math and Humanities. Her strength is connecting her students to curriculum though local history storytelling, social and political interest, inquiry, current events, activities, and discussions.

Christine – Math Contest
Christine earned her bachelors from the University of Toronto and has a wealth of experience in helping students in international mathematics contest. Her students have cored in the top 2-15% of admission tests, and ranked in the top 10-30% of worldwide math contests.

Fiona – Public Speaking / Social Studies
Fiona Wang has a Master of Arts degree in Criminology from Ryerson University, a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from University of British Columbia (UBC) and a Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) certificate from Vancouver Community College.

Frederick – Debate / World School
Fredrick has 8 years of Debate, Mock Trials and Model UN coaching experience. He has obtained a Degree of Excellence with the National Speech and Debate Association in the USA. Fredrick’s students have won many awards including Stanford University High School Debate Tournament Champions and Harvard University High School Debate Tournament Champions.

Gary – AP/IB English Literature
Gary is a certified IB English teacher in BC. Over the course of his career, he has had opportunities to work in a wide variety of classrooms, mentoring and teaching students from diverse cultural and economic backgrounds. Gary has taught different grades literature courses and is currently teaching IB Literature at New Westminster Secondary School.

Graham – Math / Science
Graham is a BC certified teacher and has been teaching science and math with the Vancouver School Board since 2017, when he received his B.Ed with accolades from UBC. Graham helps students unlock their full potential by teaching the whole student, treating them with patience, respect, encouragement and honesty.

Happy – Math / Science
Happy is a BC certified teacher and holds three degrees from UBC: a BSc. in Astronomy, a BEd. In Secondary Science Education, and a Masters in Mathematics Education. Happy has gained a wide range of teaching experiences in his career and is comfortable teaching students of all ages from Kindergarten to university.

Jennifer – English
Jennifer is a dedicated educator with 10 years of experience working with students of all age groups. She is currently an Elementary Teacher in School District 42 (Maple Ridge-Pitt Meadows), working in both classroom settings and in support positions.

Jeff – IB Physics / Math
Jeff is currently a high school teacher in an IB World school. He is a proud UBC alumni, holding a Bachelor of Education, specializing in high school science and mathematics. He has been tutoring high school / university level Math, Physics and Chemistry for over 10 years.

Julie – Public Speaking / Acting
Julie has facilitated hugely successful organizations such as TEDX, Peak Potentials, Master Training, Warrior Sage and World Luminaries among others. She is no stranger to working with individuals and groups as a speaker coach and acting teacher to more than a thousand students from all walks of life for the past 20 years.

Jennifer holds a Masters of Arts at the University of British Columbia. She is a working professional in the Film & Media Industry and also has over 17 years of experience teaching English, AP U.S. History, AP Human Geography, AP World History, History, Journalism at the high school level.

Mark – English
Mark is a Vancouver-based educator with over 15 years experience in the teaching field, specializing in advanced literary studies, prosody and composition. He completed both his Bachelor’s in Medieval Studies with a Major in Latin Language, and his Master’s in Ancient Culture Religion and Ethnicity at the University of British Columbia.

Mar – Math / Science
Mar is a professional educator and environmental scientist with over a decade experience committing to academic excellence and enhancing students’ meaningful learning experience. She holds a Master of Sciences in Environmental Practice and has received the Chancellor’s Award for the highest academic performance. She also has a Bachelor of Science in Biology, with specialization of marine ecology.

Mark – AP Economics
Mark is a highly experienced business and economics instructor. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Education, and a Master of Education as well. He has spent the last 20 years working in many teaching positions around the world. At St. Andrew’s College, Mr. Service taught AP business and economicsMark – English courses as well as act as the academic advisor for senior students for 17 years.

Matthew – Computer Science
Matthew is a passionate instructor who holds a degree in Computer Science. Matt has worked with students in Grades 4-12 and has helped prepare students for Waterloo’s annual Junior Coding Competition. He also taught a group Computer Science class at a private high school. Currently Matt works at IBM as a software Engineer.

Neo – AP Psychology
Neo graduated from the University of British Columbia with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and went on to receive the Doctor’s degree in Dental medicine in 2017. He has over 10 years of AP psychology teaching experience.

Rebecca – Math / Science / English
Rebecca is a Medical Doctor candidate at UBC. She is currently working on several research studies regarding COVID-19 immunity and the COVID-19 vaccine and has received several scholarships and awards, including the UBC Faculty of Medicine Summer Studentship and the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada Undergraduate Student Research Award.

Sarah – Math / Science / English
Sarah is an undergraduate student at the University of British Columbia studying electrical and biomedical engineering. She has 4 years of experience teaching high school level math and science and over 5 years of experience mentoring elementary school-aged children in reading and writing.

Sydney – AP/IB Math / Science
Sydney holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from the University of Waterloo, a Bachelor of Business Administration from Shandong Normal University and is currently a PhD Candidate in Chemistry at Simon Fraser University. Sydney has been awarded fellowships and awards for her research excellence and has published her work in many high impact research journals.

Wen Shen – Science / Chemistry / Biology / Math
Wen Shen recently graduated with a Bachelor of Medical Sciences at Western University. His passion has always been for healthcare and providing tutoring and mentorship to students of a variety of ages and backgrounds. Wen Shen is familiar with Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics at the secondary school to university level, including Advanced Placement (AP) courses.

Tammy – English / Social Studies
Tammy holds a Bachelor’s degree in Education and Social Sciences and K-12 certification in the United States. She is also a certified teacher in British Columbia. Tammy has a wealth of teaching experience both at home and abroad. She is also well versed in Chinese culture and can speak fluent Mandarin. She understands the unique challenges that Chinese students face in transitioning to the North American education system. Tammy’s teaching method is flexible and she is experienced at making different teaching plans that are age-appropriate as well as considering the student’s English proficiency.

Teresa – IELTS / CELPIP
Teresa has over 25 years of business experience in the corporate world as a top performer in various senior management positions where she helped numerous multinational companies expand their markets, and increase their profits. In addition, she spent the past 8 years instructing at post-secondary institutions and tutoring students one-on-one focusing on Business courses, IELTS, and CELPIP.

Tara – Public Speaking / English / IELTS
Tara holds a B.A in Sociology/Anthropology and International Development from Guelph University and a Masters in Environmental Studies from York university where she focused on curriculum development and education programs for environmental issues. She received a scholarship program to research in Latin America and has presented her research at International conferences for the development of education and preservation of traditional knowledge systems.

Yuan – Math / Science
Yuan holds a Master Degree in Date Science from UBC and a Master Degree in Biology from University of Florida. He is also a PhD candidate in Genetics and Molecular Biology at UBC. Currently Yuan works as an information and data analyst at Fraser Health Authority. Yuan has 6 years teaching experience in university biology and high school AP/IB courses (math, biology, physics, etc.)

Yuki – Math / Science
Yuki graduated from University of Toronto with a double major in Mathematics and Statistics. She is very experienced with private mathematics tutoring under both the BC curriculum and the Ontario curriculum as she has been tutoring 3 years, in Vancouver and Toronto.

Zubin – Social Studies / English
Zubin is a certified BC secondary school teacher with many years of teaching experiences in ESL, Social Studies and English. Zubin has been working with school districts in West Vancouver and North Vancouver as well as independent schools.
